Lemmings is a Bucktown safe haven for those whose worst nightmare is an evening spent at Cans or Wicker Park Tavern. Just steps down Damen Avenue from the hustle and bustle of Six Corners, Lemmings is a chill spot to catch up with friends over a cold beer. A dark yet welcoming atmosphere, the space has several hightop tables in front and a standard billiards room in back. Unlike many typical Wicker Park and Bucktown watering holes, though, it’s — gasp –clean.
The bartenders are friendly and outgoing, chatting with the regulars and welcoming the newbies. Beer drinkers will find everything from local brews like Three Floyds and Metropolitan to old standbys like a refreshing Schlitz. While the place isn’t particularly memorable, it’s no doubt conducive to a fun night with friends on either a low-key Tuesday or a special celebratory Saturday.
